Don was hired to dig a grave at the rural Quay Cemetery south of Tucumcari on January 2, 2016. Although he had been to that cemetery before he forgot to lower the boom on his backhoe and he destroyed the $1600 cemetery sign above the entrance gate. Though Don admitted that he caused the damage he has refused to pay for the repairs. He also ran over two headstones that day. Since then I have heard that Don also caused damage to a sign at another rural cemetery between Tucumcari and Clovis.
