Reviews By Robin W. from Blue Ridge, TX Posted Apr 7, 2016 Highly disappointed. Mr. Owens was nice enough but was unable to install our custom gate properly. The specs for the opener stated it would open 120 degrees. Owens fence made several attempts to adjust the gate opening and I even provided them with instructions from the manufacturer web site. After Owens fence was paid in full he stated that "that's the best we're gonna get". We paid Owens fence a total of $6600 for installation and materials for the opener. My husband called Owens gate with technical questions and informed them that the gate was still not opening to it's full potential. Owens fence suggested we contact the manufacturer technical support. We did. The company suggested that the gate may not have been installed properly and referred us to another gate installation company (SOS Gate). SOS gate came out and inspected the installation and stated that it needed to be adjusted and reworked. SOS gate scheduled another appointment to return with a welder and generator to do the repairs and install the gate properly. This cost an additional $1097 which I feel Owens should be responsible for. If Owens was unable to perform the work required they should never have accepted payment for labor.
